West Austin Studio Tour at Vuka
West is moving East. A new version of the East Austin Studio Tour, called WEST, is going to be held in Austin neighborhoods west of I-35 this year, and Vuka is playing a big part. The show is a free, self-guided tour of studios and exhibit spaces and takes place on May 19th and May 20th. Big Medium, who runs the festival, has already hosted their catalog release party in downtown Austin to huge attendance.
Vuka is a collaborative, community warehouse located just south of Downtown with plenty of room for gallery showings, both semi-permanent and temporary. We’re situated in the heart of the West Austin Studio Tour and are positioned to receive a ton of visitors during the art festival. For artists, this is a great opportunity for exposure, to sell your art to central Austinites, and to plug into a new venue and gallery space.

Hi. I met Carrie at Big Medium over the weekend. She told me you have some space for artists at WEST. I’m very interested in one of your outdoor booth spaces. Is one still available?
Thanks,
Emily Johnson

Hi! My name is Lora and I am super interested in showing some pieces for the WEST tour. I have a lot of paintings and drawings which are featured on my website, but I also have several pieces of sculptural furniture. I have yet to add them to my website but can send pics if interested. One piece that I just finished is a large hanging Jellyfish Lamp.
The site does include a human sized Praying Mantis that I created out of steel.
Look forward to hearing back from ya!
